10 Things Part 2

Welcome to Part 2 of my 10 Things project.  I love how this one looks so different from the first but still has the same pocket and Cricut title.

For Nick's layout I choose the retired Game On papers.  I used lots of assorted accessories. Both of these pages will be used for title pages in the boys scrapbooks.  I rarely create single page layouts so when I fill up a scrapbook I have to remember to create a single page for the front and back.

Thanks for looking and I hope you're inspired to create something fun too!

CTMH Convention 2013 Part II

Here is the second layout from the 2013 CTMH Convention.  If you missed part one you can find it here.

This is one of the two layouts that we were given.  I love the cluster on left page.  This layout is called "Memorabilia" because it had space to include our name tag and Awards Banquet ticket.  Some of the embellishments on this layout are the Ruby Mini Medley collection, Aqua Dots and the retired colour ready cork shapes.

I really think this cluster is super cute.

Since I had lots of other memorabilia I decided that I would use a True-fit folio behind this layout to hold all of it. You can see all the fun details of that in my post Convention 2013 Part III.

CTMH Convention 2013 finally

Yes, it's now two years later and I've finally managed to document my wonderful journey at the 2013 Close To My Heart Convention.  I had an amazing time and we were given all the product and instructions to create two double page layouts.  Instead of completing the layouts during convention my roommate and I decided to go to the park!  I'm so glad that we did and a mere two years later the layouts are now done.

Since these layouts will go into my team album I needed to fill in a pocket page also.  I used the back side of one layout for the right page and then filled int he pockets with left over paper.

I had more photos than would fit so I added some of those handy little flip flaps.  Don't you just love the Mickey Ears?  I ripped them off of the cute head band that our team leader made for all of us.

I decided that I would enter the album contest during convention.  I had no idea what to expect but I was very excited to get a little ribbon to attach to my name tag.  Out of all the entries into the contest they choose the top 10 and posted all their layouts and then everyone else got one layout posted.  I was very proud to see one of mine on the boards for everyone else to see.  It's still one of my favourite layouts and you can see it here.

Stayed tuned for the second part of my Convention 2013 pages.

May Team Brae-er Blog Hop - Taste of Summer

Welcome to our monthly team Brae-er Blog Hop featuring a Taste of Summer from Close to my Heart. If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you get lost you can find your way by going to Brae's blog for a full list of participants. If you came from Michelle's blog then you are in the right place!

We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do....by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see. Thank you… now on to our hop!

This month we are featuring the special Taste of Summer paper pack available this month only for National Scrapbooking month.  I don't often create single page layouts but I only had two photos that turned out on this trip so I thought I'd just do a single page.  I also thought I'd be adventurous and work without a pattern.  I looked at some images on my Pinterest board and then just played around with the paper until I had an idea that I liked.  I'm really happy with how it turned out.

I added in a couple of cute little pieces of Boardwalk washi tape and some fussy cut strawberries from a retired stamp set.  I coloured the strawberries with my ShinHan touch twin markers.

The next stop on the Hop is Sheri. Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we were able to inspire you to create your own projects from those that you have seen along the way.  Don't forget to hop along again next month when we will be previewing the National Scrapbooking month kit - Taste of Summer.
