Live Beautifully Mini Book

In honour of National Scrapbooking month Close to my Heart created this stunning paper pack with amazing gold foil images.

I took their pattern for this little mini book and added some additional pages and different embellishments and here is how it turned out.

This album was just perfect for my parents honeymoon pictures.  I love how great they look together.  The Live Beautifully paper is only available until the end of May so don't miss out.

Little Dreamer Workshop Bonus Kit

I've recently started to develop extra layouts to use up all of the papers in a Workshop Your Way kit.  This time I've done the same for the adorable Little Dreamer WYW kit.  All you need is the kit and the coordinating cardstock pack.

I love all of these layouts and was surprised that I was able to find pictures for all of them!  That's often difficult when I have two little boys and not much pink and purple in my life.

I am planning on completing this kit with my club ladies on June 23.  If you're local (Barrie) and interested in joining in, just let me know.  If you would like to purchase the kit then you can do so online at the links above and I will send you the instructions by email.

May Team Brae-er Blog Hop - Little Dreamer

Welcome back to our monthly team Brae-er Blog Hop featuring the brand new Little Dreamer paper pack.  If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop. If you came from Michelle's blog then you are in the right place!

We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do....by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see. Thank you… now on to our hop!

This month we are featuring our Little Dreamer Workshop Your Way kit.  For this layout I took a single page layout from the Seasonal Expressions Idea Book and made it into a double page layout.

With all of the new Workshop Your Way kits I have been purchasing the coordinating cardstock pack and making at least 4 additional layouts.  I think this one is super cute and a lot of fun.  Keep watching for the rest of the layouts.

The next stop on the Hop is Nicky. Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we were able to inspire you to create your own projects from those that you have seen along the way.  Don't forget to hop along again next month.

Thank you… now on to our hop!

This month we are featuring our Dreamin' Big Workshop Your Way kit.  I simply LOVE this paper.  It is super cute and versatile.  For this page I decided to use the new cut apart sheet to create a layout.  I haven't really used these cut apart sheets very much since they started making them.  I'm really happy with how this page turned out and I'm going to make a point of doing this more often.

The next stop on the Hop is Sheena. Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we were able to inspire you to create your own projects from those that you have seen along the way.  Don't forget to hop along again next month.

Huntington Halloween

I've been getting caught up on my Halloween layouts.  This is a retired paper but it suited the subject.

This is the workshop layout but I changed the title to suit my needs.

I've used the swiping technique to stamp my title images.  So simple but a great effect.

January Team Brae-er Blog Hop - Sugar Rush

Welcome back to our monthly team Brae-er Blog Hop featuring the brand new Sugar Rush paper pack. We've all been very busy lately so it's been a long time since we've done a blog hop.  Hopefully we are back to a regular schedule again.  If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you get lost you can find your way by going to Brae's blog for a full list of participants. If you came from Emily's blog then you are in the right place!

We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do....by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see. Thank you… now on to our hop!

I think the new Sugar Rush paper pack is adorable.  I wasn't sure at first as it is a bit feminine but I think this layout works great for my son's garden pictures.
The next stop on the Hop is Jennifer. Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we were able to inspire you to create your own projects from those that you have seen along the way.  Don't forget to hop along again next month.

Blossom Layout for a Boy

So, I have two little boys.  I still love some of the girly type paper though.  I have found that I can make almost any of the girly type paper packs work for my boy layouts.

Although there are lots of florals and pinks in this kit I pulled out those and used some cardstock to keep it simple and more masculine.

This paper is retired now but I bet that I can pretty much do this with any kit.  I challenge you to try this too.  I'd love to hear which kits you've done this with.
